Legalisation of signature

When legalising your signature, the notary declares that you have personally signed the document. This is possible for both Dutch and foreign documents. The notary is not responsible for the content of the document. The notary will therefore attach a signed statement, but will not place a signature and/or stamp on the document itself.

You will need to make an appointment with our office for the legalisation. You will need to bring the unsigned document to our office together with valid identification (preferably your passport). You will sign the document in the presence of an employee of our office. You must send the document to the relevant authority yourself.

For more questions and/or an appointment, please contact us.

If it concerns a document for abroad, you may also need an apostille. You will need to arrange this with the court.
